Securing your wireless network
Most households who have broadband now perfer to have the benefits of wireless networking. However out-of-box configuration often leaves security holes that need correcting.
The best, whilst pratical method of securing your network is by enabling an encryption feature such as WEPÂ (wireless encryption protocol) and also filter out connecting devices via their MAC address.
If your router also has the option to not broadcast you network name then once configured, consider disabling the broadbast name of your network.
