Repairing your credit
If you've been a victim of identity thieft it is important to see what damage has been done to your credit file and ensure any inaccuracies are resolved. If you spot any genuine errors then you're entitled to report the error to the creditor who placed the bad mark against you. Simply write them a letter explaining why you believe this to be wrong. Always ask for it to be removed fully and not a notice of correction as this may harm your rating even further.
